Faith Adiele’s Meeting Faith (W.W. Norton & Co.), a travel memoir about becoming Thailand’s first black Buddhist nun, received the PEN Beyond Margins Award.

Terra Brigando (SCWP, 2013) earned her MFA from Mills College in 2012. She cannot write without coffee or wine, or some combination of both.

David Lau is author of Virgil and the Mountain Cat (UC Press) and co-editor of the Lana Turner Journal.

Safeena Leila Mecklai (SCWP, 2013) is a senior at UC Berkeley working on her first nonfiction book about love, college, diet soda, and airplanes.

Anca Roncea (SCWP, 2013) writes poetry and is finishing her PhD at Berkeley after a Fulbright year at the University of Bucharest.

Ryan Sloan is author of the forthcoming novel The Plagiarists. His work has appeared in LA Weekly, Nerve, Opium Magazine, and Painted Bride Quarterly.
