A near-perfect replica of a certain TV game show, complete with Answers in the Form of a Question, Daily Doubles, and Final Jeopardy — except (almost) all the questions are about books. Form your own group and go up against the team of special guest FSG authors.
Paul La Farge is the author of three novels: The Artist of the Missing, Haussmann, or the Distinction, and most recently, Luminous Airplanes, as well as a book of imaginary dreams, The Facts of Winter. His short stories have appeared in McSweeney’s, Harper’s Magazine, Fence, Conjunctions, and elsewhere. His nonfiction appears in The Believer, Bookforum, Playboy, and Cabinet. He lives in upstate New York.
Will Hermes is a senior critic for Rolling Stone and a longtime contributor to NPR’s “All Things Considered.” His work also appears in The New York Times, the Village Voice, and elsewhere. He was co-editor of SPIN: 20 Years of Alternative Music (2005). Faber & Faber will publish Love Goes to Buildings on Fire: Five Years in New York That Changed Music Forever November 2011.
Alina Simone is a critically acclaimed singer who was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, and now lives in Brooklyn. Her music has been featured in a wide range of media, including BBC’s “The World”, NPR, Spin, Billboard, The New Yorker, and The Wall Street Journal.
